Responsibilities

The Decisions Officer is responsible in the evaluation of new cardholders and accreditation of new merchants.

The Decisions Officer for New Accounts is responsible for the timely, thorough and accurate evaluation of new card applications. The evaluation rendered by the Decisions Officer should at all time be aligned with the current credit policy to ensure that accounts approved will contribute to a creditworthy and problem-free portfolio of the business.

The Decisions Officer for Merchant Acquiring is responsible for the precise pre-screening and thorough evaluation of merchant applications and is also accountable for processing merchant applications within the agreed turn around time.

The position may be assigned to handle various projects from time to time as a developmental plan in assuming possible higher responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder; preferably graduate of business course
  • At least 2 years experience in the credit card business, particularly on credit decisions; has understanding of the different segments of the business and the capacity to relate unit’s operations and performance metrics to the overall business of the company
  • Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
