Department – Unit: Finance

Responsibilities

This position plays a key role in the company’s financial control, accounting, and regulatory compliance [BSP, SEC, BIR and external auditors (i.e. SGV)].

The core functions would include financial accounting, tax accounting and compliance, regulatory reporting and disbursements. The role is critical in ensuring conformity to accounting and audit standards as well as compliance to external regulations and taxation laws.

Span of Control

Direct: Financial Accounting and Regulatory Reporting Officer (M2) & Financial Accounting, Disbursement and Tax Compliance Officer (M2) Indirect: 5 Staff (C4 and C3 levels)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a college/university majoring in finance, accounting or business administration
• Must be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with an active license and an accreditation as a CPA in Commerce and Industry Practice
• Has 7-10 years of work-related experience in a financial institution with a specialization in financial accounting and a relevant exposure in the credit card business.
• Has broad knowledge in taxation and regulatory reporting (BSP, BIR, SEC and SSS)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to plan and handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
• With at least 7 years’ experience in guiding individuals toward goal achievement using negotiation, teamwork/collaboration, motivation and staff development skills including the ability to act as a role model within the organization.
• Proven ability to analyze and work with various types of data and statistical information, and generate different reports accordingly
